I just got a little update after landing in Cincinnati: At sometime in the night the new nurse (John) woke Dad up a little and was giving him simple commands, which he was able to follow. He still wasn't able to open his eyes because of the swelling, so they let him continue resting. Dad woke up around 6:30 this morning and thought it was 6:30 at night! My mom got to the hospital around 7, and he asked her what took so long for him to wake up. She had to remind him that he had heart surgery :-) That's about all I know right now, we will let you know when he moves to a different room.

Rob and I are praying for all of you and are so happy to hear that everything has been going well. I'm not sure if we'll want to see that picture though :) We love you all and are anxious for Uncle John to wake up completley! Love, Rob and Stacey
Thanks for all the updates, Brittney - we are following them closer than the Olympics! My mom and Dad are here in Wisconsin for the weekend, and we all send our love and thoughts - hope the recovery goes well and your Dad's feeling much better very soon!
